NUR 3895 - Teaching and Learning for Health Care Professional

This course focuses on methods for educating health care professionals and clients at the institutional, programmatic and individual level. Emphasis is placed on a working relationship with health care service organizations to develop educational programs related to health, wellness, disease, disease prevention and quality of life. The importance of effective and appropriate communication skills in the delivery and evaluation of educational components also is emphasized. Challenges and barriers to learning including the concept of cultural diversity will be included. Note(s): for B.S. in Nursing majors only
