NSP 3295C - Perioperative Nursing

Prerequisites: proof of RN license, current CPR, by permission ONLY from the nursing department.

This course prepares the registered nurse enrolled in the RN to B.S.N. program for the role of the perioperative nurse in establishing and sustaining system equilibrium during the perioperative period. This course teaches perioperative nurse practice in surgery and related departments. The course is a supervised clinical preceptorship of patient care during the preop, intraop, and postop care of the surgical patient. Additional special fees are required.
