ACG 2021C - Principles of Financial Accounting

Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisites: MAT 0012 or MAT 0018 and REA 0002 or REA 0017, or equivalent.

A corporate view that provides students with an understanding of concepts that are fundamental to the use of accounting data for decision-making. Emphasis is on financial statements, ratio analysis, the accounting cycle and capital structure through the issuing of stock and bonds. Study of accounting principles from a user and a preparer approach.
