AML 2600 - African-American Literature (3 Credit Hours) (A.A.)
Prerequisites: ENC 1101 and concurrent registration in or completion of ENC 1102 with a grade of “C” or better.
Meets the Gordon Rule requirement. Historical and critical analyses of African-American literature; its roots in an Afro-centric cultural and literary experience that affects major genres and historical movements: slave narrative, poetry, folklore, drama, political essay; the Harlem Renaissance; and the development of the novel and contemporary writers are covered.
