AMH 1091 - African-American History and Culture
(3 Credit Hours)
This course meets Area III of the A.A./A.S. general education requirements and part of the International/Intercultural requirement. This course introduces the student to the history and culture of African-Americans. The aim of the course is threefold: 1) to analyze the discourse that surrounds African-American history and culture; 2) to observe major trends in African-American history and culture; and 3) to examine the critical nexus of race/class and its implications for future generations.
