REL 2121 - Religion in America (3 Credit Hours) (A.A.)
Prerequisites: ENC 1101 with a grade of “C” or better.
This course meets Area IV requirements for the AA/AS general education requirements and Gordon rule requirement. The course examines the scope and nature of religious institutions and developments in America. The course will include investigation into how traditional western religions have changed, adopted, and influenced America via art, music, doctrines, and literature. Reading of primary texts may include the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Torah, and additional selections from the western canon.
