NUR 1730C - Nursing Practice II

This course provides six hours of lecture, three hours of learning lab and nine hours of clinical experience per week. Prerequisites: Successful completion of NUR 1023C  and NUR 1023L .

Corequisites: Concurrent enrollment in NUR 1730K and NUR 1730L . This course builds upon concepts introduced in NUR 1023C  with emphasis on acute alterations and chronic conditions affecting adults. Content focuses on comprehensive assessment, intermediate clinical judgment, and evidence based management of increasingly complex health needs. Communication, teaching, professional nursing practice, use of healthcare technologies, and coordination of care are integrated to support patient safety and quality outcomes. Respect, responsiveness, accountability, and resilience are emphasized in the provision of safe, ethical nursing care within the healthcare environment. Additional special fee is required.
