This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the principles and applications of health economics. Students will explore fundamental topics, including healthcare demand and supply, financing and insurance systems, economic evaluation of healthcare technologies, and the role of government in healthcare. The course integrates theoretical foundations with real-world case studies to analyze issues such as healthcare equity, access, quality, disparities, and policy impact. By the end, students will develop analytical skills to assess and contribute to healthcare policy and management, preparing them for careers in health services, public health, and related fields.
