PLA 2223 - Civil Litigation II

Prerequisites: Recommended PLA 2203.

This course builds upon PLA 2203 and will prepare the legal assistant to assist an attorney in civil trial practice through the appeals process. It includes drafting settlement proposals and a trial brief, abstracting depositions and the use of the Florida and Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure. Students will participate in a mock trial, activities and assignments will be based on the situations that arise from the preparation and trial process.
