OTH 1520C - Occupational Therapy During Growth Years

Three hours lecture, six hours laboratory per week. Prerequisites: Admission to the OTA Program, satisfactory completion of: BSC 2086, BSC 2086L, DEP 2004, OTH 1001C, OTH 1114C, OTH 1856L.

Corequisites: AMH 1010 or AMH 1020 POS 1041,and OTH 1014C, OTH 1410, OTH 1857L . This course will address limitations and obstacles to occupational engagement (self-care, play, school) for persons from birth to age 22. Common diagnoses, evaluation methods, and treatment environments will be presented. Treatment for areas of occupation considering performance skills, performance patterns, client factors and context will be reviewed.
