EEX 3401 - Special Needs of Children and their Families (3 Credit Hours) (B.S.)
Students receive a comprehensive overview of the field of early childhood special education (ECSE) and in-depth information on state-of-the-art practices that facilitate both teacher and child comprehension. Students focus on “applications,” emphasizing “hands-on” experience while working with parents. Students are provided information on the Florida Early Learning Standards. Students must complete a minimum of 15 hours of field-based experience (during the term in which the course is taken) in an early learning center.
