STA 2023 - Elementary Statistics

(3 Credit Hours)
(A.A.)


Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisites: MAT 1033  or STA 1001  with a grade “C” or better, or equivalent. (MGF 1130 and MGF 1131 cannot be used to satisfy the prerequisite requirement.)

This course meets Area II requirements for both AA General Education Requirements and AS General Education Requirements. In this course, students will utilize descriptive and inferential statistical methods in contextual situations, using technology as appropriate. The course is designed to increase problem-solving abilities and data interpretation through practical applications of statistical concepts. This course is appropriate for students in a wide range of disciplines and programs.
