State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. SCF is governed by the Florida Legislature and by the SCF District Board of Trustees. Fees are subject to change without prior notice whenever conditions make it necessary.

Public Law 93-380, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act 

In accordance with Public Law 93-380, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), strict confidentiality will be observed regarding student information, even though the nature of an educational institution requires that records must be kept. 

The act provides that the College may retain the right to release directory information, which is defined as the student name, degree of study, participation in officially recognized activities and sports, weight and height of members of athletic teams, terms of attendance, and degrees and awards received. In the absence of written notice by a student to withhold any or all information included in the definition of “directory information,” the College reserves the right to release any of this information it may consider desirable. Directory disclosure release forms are available in the educational records offices at SCF Bradenton and SCF Venice.
