Program Goal

The purpose of this program is to prepare the student for employment in the insurance field or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in the field.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Prepare and evaluate business and financial information to support decision making, while considering the significance of legal and ethical issues in a business environment.
  • Using appropriate software, develop appropriate business records and a successful promotion plan for an insurance agency.
  • Demonstrate effective business communication, knowledge of product/service technology and employee compensation/benefits plans, and participate in a capstone project.
  • Develop and demonstrate management activities, human resources skills, employability skills, and strategic or organizational skills.
