Program Goal

This program prepares students to open, manage and market their own small business. The program also prepares students to work as managers in a small to medium business.

Program Learning Outcomes

Develop entrepreneurial concepts, resources, computer application skills, leadership/management skills, and personal assessment.
Describe effective business concepts, staffing functions, morale and motivation skills, human resources assessment, and business records management.
Analyze conflict management methods, basic economic concepts (including economic systems), cost-profit relationships, characteristics and functions of money, business risk, and legal considerations.
Identify and develop a business plan, controlling functions, and information acquisition systems by applying money management skills along with accounting and communications principles.
