Program Goal
This program prepares qualified designers, authors, journalists, media-makers, artists and communicators who can manipulate the latest technology and procedures for digital media presentations. Skills learned include components and construction of narrative and documentary video/film and still photography, digital audio, video and graphic design, and broadcast and new media programming with an emphasis on traditional and Internet distribution methods. Display, sales and distribution of multimedia products are primary outcomes.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Formulate and Apply concepts and theories in light, design, color and composition
- Demonstrate safe and efficient work practices and knowledge of current industry standards and techniques
- Create photographs based on analog and digital techniques
- Create a portfolio of work and promotional materials utilizing contemporary standards
- Apply critical thinking skills and critical analysis to final projects
