CET 1610 - Router Technology (3 Credit Hours) (A.S.)
Prerequisites: CET 1600 or relevant industry experience.
This is the second of two courses designed to provide students with learning and laboratory experience in current and emerging networking technology. Instruction includes networking, terminology and protocols, LANs, WANs, Open System Interconnection (OSI) models, Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, security, routing, switching, access control, and the network administrator’s function. Students will successfully implement beginning router configurations, demonstrate an understanding of routed and routing protocols and the fundamentals of LAN switching. Additional special fee is required.
