THE 2000 - Theatre Appreciation
(3 Credit Hours)
Prerequisites: ENC 1101.
This course meets Area IV of the A.A./A.S. general education requirements, the Gordon Rule requirement and part of the International/Intercultural requirement. This course introduces the student to dramatic literature of the world from ancient to modern times, and to the arts and crafts which transform it into the living theatre. It is designed to develop the student’s knowledge and appreciation of the theatre arts through a historic and contemporary approach so that the student may gain a greater satisfaction from dramatic presentations. Attendance at live stage productions is a mandatory part of this course.
