AER 1298 - Transmission and Drive Systems

Prerequisites: AER 1081.

This course is designed to teach the principles and operations of transmissions and drive systems. Topics include manual and automatic transmissions, transaxles, clutches, propeller shafts, electronic controls, overdrive systems, differentials and axles. Special emphasis is given to safety procedures and the specific tools and instruments used in diagnosis and repair. Note(s): Course taught at Sarasota County Technical Institute
