MCB 2010L - Microbiology Laboratory (1 Credit Hours) (A.A.)
Three hours lab per week. Prerequisites: BSC 2085 and BSC 2085L or BSC 1007 and BSC 1007 or BSC 2010L and BSC 2010 all with a grade of “C” or better.
Corequisites: MCB 2010 This course meets the requirements for Area V of the AA/AS general education requirements. This course teaches the fundamental techniques utilized in the microbiology laboratory setting. Students will gain an understanding that includes microscopy, cultivation techniques, identification of microorganisms, control of microbial growth, host resistance mechanisms, and a survey of viral, bacterial, fungal, protozoal and animal pathogens and parasites. Additional special fees are required. Note(s): Please note that students who withdraw from lecture or lab will be withdrawn from the appropriate co-requisite course.
