OTH 1001C - Introduction to Occupational Therapy

Two hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week. Prerequisites: Admission to the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, satisfactory completion of BSC 2085C, mathematics (from Area II, A.S., Category A ) and PSY 2012.

This course introduces the basic tenets of the occupational therapy profession. Topics include history, philosophy, the OT Practice Framework, the OT process, ethics, role delineation, standards of practice, professional organizations, and evidence-based practice.
