PAD 4949 - Special Topics: Practicum in Public Safety or Homeland Security

Prerequisites: Prerequisite: PAD 4878

This will serve as an elective upper level course which provides practical application of career skills learned in the classroom. The class will be allowed only by approval from the Program Director based on the student’s career choice and the need to further develop clinical or practical skills in that career. The placement will consist of supervised field experience of 135 hours which prepares individuals to serve as managers in the executive areas of local, state, Federal Government, military, or private company by being involved in the daily operations of either executive, legislative, budgetary, financial, administrative, legal, management, research or organizational practices of the agency or company.
