ECP 3009 - Economic Problems and Policy

(3 Credit Hours)
(BAS)

Prerequisites: ECO 2013 and ECO 2023

This Course will investigate the historical and philosophical foundations of theoretical economics and review the primary traditions upon which complex policy debates rest in dealing with economic problems.  Alternative economic structural solutions to these problems will be critically investigated.  The course will primarily emphasize the ability of free market capitalism to provide appropriate policy guidance in resolving economic problems justly, fairly, and verdantly; more optimally than any central planned structure.  Case Studies will be incorporated to facilitate the student in recognizing and analyzing the relationship between theory and practice in real world circumstances.
