This course addresses the Florida Educator Accomplished Practice Standard Competency areas of Instructional Design and Lesson Planning, The Learning Environment, Instructional Delivery and Facilitation, Assessment, Continuous Professional Improvement, Professional Responsibility and Ethical Conduct. Topics for this course include generic teaching skills, techniques, and strategies basic to all grade levels and curricula. Topics of multimedia applications in education including application and presentation software will be covered. The course will assist teachers in developing attitudes, skills and knowledge which will enable them to identify students who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) and to provide and justify effective instruction for LEP students.
