The graphic design technology program offers a curriculum based on a combination of basic design principles and the latest technology. Instruction is distributed between both print and Web design and their respective industry applications. Focus is placed on preparing the student for immediate employment in the field of graphic design.
Program Entrance Requirements
In addition to the admission requirements of the College, the following are requirements for admission to the Graphic Design Technology Program:
Mathematics proficiency that qualifies the student for entry into +MAC 1105 or higher, as demonstrated by the standard placement criteria currently in use at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF); and
Successful completion of GRA 1100C with a grade of ”C” or better.

Students may take these courses at any time during their program of study.
Choose 6 credits—any combination of courses (6 Credit Hours)
Total Credit Hours: 18
** A grade of “C” or better must be attained for each core course and the courses meeting the general education requirements for this degree.
+Effective Fall 2013, no new students are being accepted into an A.A.S. degree program. Students currently enrolled will have two years (Summer 2015) to complete the A.A.S. specific courses requirements of in the program. The only difference of the A.A.S. from the A.S. curriculum for this program is that of one math course
