Homeland Security [8003] ‡Bachelor of Applied Science(120 Credit Hours)Program DirectorBarry Puett Program Description and GoalThe Bachelor of Applied Science in Homeland Security Program provides associate degree graduates in areas such as law enforcement, paralegal, fire science, emergency medical services, emergency management, or an Associate in Arts with an educational pathway that leads to a bachelor’s degree with workforce skills based on the needs of the U.S. government as well as the needs of the private sector. Coursework includes the areas of crisis and disaster issues, public safety, homeland security, management and terrorism prevention. Graduates of this program will find employment opportunities in the federal or state government, colleges and universities, and the private sector. In addition, the Homeland Security Program is ideal preparation for further study in graduate school for programs in law, emergency management or public policy. |
