This course addresses the Florida EducatorAccomplished Practices competency areas of Instructional Design and Lesson Planning, The Learning Environment, Instructional Delivery and Facilitation, Assessment, Continuous Improvement, Responsibility, Ethics, and Professional Responsibility and Ethical Conduct. Topics for this course include generic teaching skills, techniques and strategies basic to all grade levels and curricula. The course assists teachers in developing attitudes, skills and knowledge that will enable them to identify students who are Limited English Proficient (LEP) and to provide and justify effective instruction for LEP students. Performance standards and indicators for ESOL Standards #6, #12, #13, #16, #17 and #22 are covered.
