LIT 2310 - Horror, Fantasy and Science Fiction
(3 Credit Hours)
Prerequisites: ENC 1101 and concurrent registration in or completion of ENC 1102 with a grade of “C” or better.
This course meets Area IV of the A.A./A.A.S./A.S. general education requirements, the Gordon Rule requirement and part of the International/Intercultural requirement. Critical and historical analyses of these popular genres, with emphasis on major authors and subgenres, including their connection to cultural experiences and historical moments, coverage of texts includes early inceptions of Gothic writing and extends to contemporary authors.
